This is a protocol for a Cochrane Review (intervention). The objectives are as follows: To assess the benefits and harms of high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC) use, versus conventional oxygen therapy or other non-invasive ventilation, for respiratory support in children for indications other than acute bronchiolitis.
